A Show of Hands: Thumbs Up

‘Thumbs Up’ is the universal sign for positivity.  It can also mean good luck, let’s go, or simply yes.  I often use my thumb to signal a job well done.  One tiny little finger, one tiny little gesture, one great big sign of approval.

    Worked with a woman from Iran recently and she told me that “thumbs up” in Iran is the equivalent sign to flipping your middle finger – go figure!

    Maybe not quite so universally positive as we think 😉
