A Show of Hands: Decorate

There are two camps when it comes to decorating for the holidays.  The ‘Equal Opportunity’ party insists on waiting until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas.  The ’Christmas Junkies’ decorate as soon as possible in order to get the most out of their favorite holiday.  I am a Christmas Junkie.  I would start decorating for Christmas the day after Halloween if my husband would allow it.  Unfortunately, he is a member of the Equal Opportunity party, but we usually find a compromise that we can both live with.  This year, Thanksgiving falls late in the month of November.  That is a problem for Christmas Junkies.  After much negotiation, we agreed on the weekend before Thanksgiving as our time to decorate.  I guess love really can survive in a two-party family.
